With over 50 years of experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects for the oil & gas and renewable energy industries, Dragados Offshore has executed around 80 offshore platforms for the extraction and processing of oil and natural gas. Additionally, in recent years, it has gained recognition as a European leader in the construction of HVDC offshore platforms for major electrical operators, playing a key role in advancing toward a more sustainable and secure future.

Led by an agile and efficient strategic management

Pedro Ascorbe, appointed President of Dragados Offshore in 2002, joined the company in 1988 during the Mongstad Refinery project as the lead electrical and instrumentation engineer. As President of the company, he has focused on enhancing the company's international operations, both in influence and total assets.
His work has been key in the opening of two new construction yards in Mexico, a second yard in Spain, and a commercial office in Houston, Texas.
Additionally, Mr. Ascorbe has consolidated the company's position in the Mexican market as one of the leading EPCI contractors and expanded the business areas by incorporating pipelines.
In the European market, Mr. Ascorbe has undertaken a strategic diversification by focusing on several new business areas. He has implemented innovative business concepts that have added long-term value to the company. Mr. Ascorbe is an Industrial Engineer from the University of the Balearic Islands in Mallorca, Spain.

Jeroen Poppe, Vice President of Global Business Development and Corporate Services, joined the Dragados Group in 1994, starting his career within the group at the engineering company Intecsa. From Intecsa, Mr. Poppe was transferred to Dragados Offshore in 2003 as a Project Director for one of the company's most iconic projects, Snøhvit.
In 2009, after managing two highly successful projects, Mr. Poppe assumed the position of Director of the Commercial Department at the Puerto Real Plant in Spain. In 2012, he was appointed Vice President of Global Business Development and Corporate Services.
Mr. Poppe is a Chemical Engineer from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and earned his degree in Refining, Petrochemicals, and Gas Engineering from the French Institute of Petroleum.

Cristina Sanz, joined the Dragados Group after successfully completing her engineering degree in 1993. She began her professional career with the group in the Technical and Planning departments, where she gained extensive knowledge in planning and cost control.
Her experience led her to become Head of Planning and Cost Control for a variety of projects in the fields of engineering, procurement, and construction.
Ms. Sanz joined Dragados Offshore in 2003 as Director of Costs, Planning, and Project Contract Administration. After ten successful years in this position, which included managing some of our most complex projects, Ms. Sanz was appointed Department Director. In 2013, Ms. Sanz became Vice President of Operations. She holds an MBA from Complutense University of Madrid and is an Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Ricardo Rodríguez was appointed General Manager of Mexico in 2018. His career in the Dragados Group began in 1997 as Administrative Assistant for International Operations at Dyctel, a group company in the infrastructure and telecommunications sector. In 1998, Mr. Rodríguez was transferred to Brazil as Administrative and Tax Director of Dyctel.
From there, he moved to other companies within the group. In 2004, he joined Dragados Offshore as Chief Financial Officer and was named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2011. His extensive legal knowledge and aptitude for budget planning and cost management strategies have made him a vital member of our team and an asset to the organization. Mr. Rodríguez holds a Law degree from the University of Madrid (Spain).

Santiago Cabezas, Director of Human Resources and Medical Services at Dragados Offshore since August 2022.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business from ETEA University (Loyola) in Córdoba and completed the Management Development Program (PDD) at IESE in 2008.
Between 1999 and 2001, he held senior management and advisory positions in the public sector, including Advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and Andalusian Deputy for Córdoba. Starting in 2002 and for ten years, he transitioned to the private sector, taking on various responsibilities such as HR Director at CajaSur Financial Institution, General Director of the subsidiary Cibernos Sur, and serving on the Board of Directors of companies like Caser and Seguros Cajasur.
He also worked as a university professor at ETEA/Loyola University for six years (2002-2008).
In 2011, he joined the Energy and Environmental Sector with Abengoa, where he served as HR Director and also held the position of Director of ROW Subsidiaries at Inabensa in the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, India, and Australia.

Rafael García Sánchez, joined Dragados Offshore as a Construction Manager Assistant after successfully completing his degree in 1996.
Mr. García's exceptional management and leadership skills, along with his technical abilities, were quickly and widely recognized: in 2001, he assumed the role of Construction Manager for a complex EPC project in Mexico. After successfully executing several projects as Construction Manager, he was promoted to Project Director.
In 2011, he was appointed Vice President of Operations in Spain, where he oversaw one of the busiest periods in the company’s history: the simultaneous construction of four projects.
In 2013, after two complex EPC projects were awarded in Mexico, Mr. García was transferred to oversee all project activities as Vice President of Operations in Mexico. Mr. García holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cádiz, Spain.

Mercedes Jiménez is the QHSE Director at Dragados Offshore. Over her more than 30-year career with Dragados Offshore, she has held various senior positions, including Engineering Department Manager, Project Director, and Business Development Director.
However, Ms. Jiménez's passion has always been in the QHSE field, where she has focused her career and cultivated extensive knowledge. She is responsible for overseeing every detail of our Global QHSE Policy, both at the project and corporate levels.
In her role as QHSE Director, she is focused on instilling a QHSE culture among all employees and pursuing innovative and cost-effective methods to implement the best practices in quality assurance and control. Ms. Jiménez holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Seville in Spain.

José María Crespo, General Manager in Mexico, began his career at Dragados Offshore in 2002, joining the Contract Administration Department. In 2003, he relocated to Dragados Offshore Mexico, where he has taken on various leadership roles in key sector projects, standing out as Project and Operations Director.
His ability to manage and optimize complex operations in different environments has enabled him to take on corporate-level responsibilities, leading teams and strategies to ensure the successful execution of projects. His experience includes the planning, execution, and control of large-scale projects, with a particular focus on operational efficiency and the implementation of innovative logistical solutions.
A Naval Technical Engineer from the University of Cádiz, he holds an MBA in Procurement and Logistics from the European Postgraduate Institute and Rey Juan Carlos University. He is also certified as a PMP (Project Management Professional), which supports his professional focus on excellence in project management and the continuous improvement of processes.
