START OF PROJECT CONSTRUCTION WORKS AT THE ALGECIRAS YARD

Dragados Offshore is pleased to announce the start of the works for LanWin2 project at its Algeciras Yard. This start of the works has also driven the first meetings at the offices in Algeciras with our partner Siemens Energy and our client TenneT Germany.

We are in line with our commitments, and we have received the upper grillage beams at our Algeciras Yard, with which we begin the assembly and joining of the entire structural assembly that will form the grillage for the LanWin2 platform, LanWin beta.

This new Dragados Offshore Yard is ready for the execution of 2GW HVDC offshore wind platforms after significant investments. Thanks to this new Yard, Dragados Offshore consolidates its leadership role in the offshore wind sector. This Yard joins the other three that Dragados Offshore already has in Puerto Real (Cadiz, Spain) and in Tampico and Altamira (Mexico).

LanWin beta is the converter platform for the grid connection project LanWin2 of TenneT Germany. This project is part of Germany’s Energy Transition Plan, which envisages the construction of a major offshore wind power generation network. In addition to LanWin2, Dragados Offshore is developing five other HVDC platforms of the same type (2GW).
