Tampico yard
Dragados Offshore opened its Tampico yard in 2003, after five years of successfully executing projects for the Mexican market. The yard is located on the south side of the Panuco River in Pueblo Viejo, Veracruz—adjacent to the city of Tampico, in the Gulf of Mexico. The facility was purpose-built for the construction of offshore projects.
The yard occupies nearly 350,000 m2, and has more than 70,000 m2 of fabrication areas, including workshops for boiler works, welding, piping, and hydromechanics. Additionally, the yard has 90,000 m2 of storage areas, two quay areas with skidways, and a soil-bearing capacity of more than 20 tons per m2.
