The offshore installation of the Jacket for the Mariner Project was successfully carried out starting with the jacket launch past 30/08/15.
The positioning of the jacket was carried out by means of a innovative UCC system (Upending Control Center) operated by telemetry, designed and fabricated by Dragados Offshore, S.A.
The UCC is a device that allows the remote operation of the systems requested for the installation of the jacket, for example: the ballasting system used during the Upending manoeuvre, the grippers system used during the piling, the monitoring system to verify the watertightness of the jacket before launching, and the removal of the temporary buoyancy tanks.
