Monday May 27, 2024

Last May 23rd the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Algeciras approved the concession to Dragados Offshore for the occupation of surface area in the port facilities of Campamento (San Roque, Algeciras, Spain).

The concessioned surface area is approximately 400,000 square meters, and includes the so-called Exterior Wharf of 263 meters in length that will allow the loading and unloading of elements.

Following this concession agreement, it is the Company's intention to develop this land and expand its activities by opening a new Construction Yard. In this new Yard, Dragados Offshore will invest heavily to increase its capacity for the construction of 2GW HVDC platforms and, in this way, consolidate its leading role in the sector.

This Yard joins the other three Dragados Offshore already has in Puerto Real (Cadiz, Spain) and in Tampico and Altamira (Mexico).

This new milestone represents another step forward in the growth and consolidation of Dragados Offshore to meet the needs of the wind power market and, in this way, contribute significantly to the energy transition through the construction of HVDC platforms from Europe.
